USC Aiken’s Circle K Helps Fill Reserve Bank
Thursday, October 12th, 2017
University of South Carolina Aiken students, faculty and staff participated in the annual blood drive, organized by the university’s Circle K club.
Each year the student organization hosts a bloodmobile on campus, giving Pacers a convenient way to donate blood to the Shepeard Community Blood Center.
Shepeard collects and distributed blood and blood products for 23 hospitals in South Carolina and Georgia. The center’s territory encompasses 30 counties in both states.
While the regional patients and medical facilities will receive extra blood donations, thanks in part to Circle K’s efforts, USC Aiken donors benefitted as well. Shepeard gave all presenting donors a free t-shirt.
